Ray Barbee! One of the nicest guys I know! The same guy who almost single handedly help the skate scene transition from neon crap/spandex to wearing jeans and ball caps! At least in my little scene. At the time the runs Ray was doing and all the no complys was out of this world. I’ve attached a little You Tube video of his 1989 part in Powell’s “Ban This”. Come check out Ray grooving with his new band at the Santa Monica Active’s WeActive! event this Saturday May 17th 2-4pm. The rest of the WESC crew will be there signing autographs.
