To celebrate the launch of the Nixon x Bones Brigade watches, Nixon & Active Ride Shop hosted a Meet & Greet with the Bones Brigade at the Irvine Spectrum along with a photo gallery curated by Grant Brittain with a zine for the occasion. It’s not often you get the whole team all in one place. Definitely a blast from the past hanging out with the Bones Brigade team with the old & young fans! Check out more photos below from the day.
Glen E. Friedman, the man who has documented most of the iconic & classic photos that you might have reblogged on tumblr at this day & age. The era from the early rise of skateboarding, punk, & hip-hop culture. His book “My Rules” features many timeless photos from skateboarding legends ranging from, Tony Hawk to Duane Peters & as well as musical legends such as Minor Threat to Public Enemy. The show was titled Nose Pick and was presented by Heel Bruise, a new project headed by Richard Mulder & friends. The show consisted of original works from Lance Mountain, Skypage, Thomas Yu & had tunes provided by Don Froth. Check out the photos & go to www.heelbruise.com for more nasal clarity.
Nike SB threw Stefan Janoski a So Cal gala in celebration of his new shoe. There were burlesque dancers, dancers with snakes, fine foods, free drinks, and tons of friends and supporters of Stefan in the house. The party was held at the Edison in Los Angeles and some of the people who came out to the event were: Lance Mountain, Geoff Rowley, Arto Saari, Omar Salazar, and many others. Nike even has the band Danielson play and they were an amazing addition to the festivities. Check out the photos and check out Transworld’s coverage of the event. Thanks to Nike SB and Congrats to Stefan… Buy his shoe!
