Photos from the opening reception of “Heaven”, the rise & fall of the infamous pro skateboarder, Lennie Kirk. More also in the photo show were photos by other friends who have documented throughout Lennie’s skate career featuring: Gary Van DeGriek, Patrick O’Dell, Jonathan McGrath, Keith Hufnagel, & Mike Blabac.
The HUF demo at the Active Park was one for the books to start off 2015. HUF brought the squad out along with the hammers. Austyn Gillette, Sammy Winter, Keith Hufnagel, Peter Ramondetta, Dan Plunkett, Kevin Terpening, Josh Matthews, & Brad Cromer were all out here, Dylan Rieder was out sick last minute, & Joey Pepper was outta town. “Building upon an ongoing project, Disposable: A Photo is a tribute to a period in time when people shuffled through and held photos in their hands. This exhibition shares it’s allegiance to 90’s era values of resourcefulness and thrift and serves as an homage to the disposable camera and the 1 hour photo processing experience. Cheap / easy with a fast food type quality, speedy prints document the destruction. The 1 hour photo exhibit is also a subtle nod to a generation that preceded this shift in photography’s direction. Calling upon those who have had their hand in this process of picture taking and photo collecting and recall curiosity being key in it’s experience.”
Super Brief History:
Keith Hufnagel started HUF as a shop in San Francisco back in 2002 and through its rapid growth and popularity launched HUF as his own line of premium apparel, footwear, & skateboarding goods.
