October is officially National Breast Cancer Awareness month and our friends over at Obey Awareness have partnered with Keep A Breast Foundation to raise awareness and support for the company’s continuing efforts to eradicate breast cancer. Keep A Breast works to expose our youth to methods of prevention, early detection, and support for breast cancer. Shepard Fairey, one of the founders of Obey Clothing, had a big influence on their collaboration with KAB and has been a big supporter since their start 10 years ago. He designed The Keep Breast graphic that you will see on all of the product and feels a special connection to the cause because he lost his aunt to breast cancer, and his mother is a breast cancer survivor. Stop by any Active Ride Shop location now to support a great cause, and the fight against breast cancer, by picking up the Obey x Keep A Breast gear!
Last Saturday, August 13th, Active partnered up with Krochet Kids and TOMS Shoes to host the 3rd annual GIVE Event at the Irvine Spectrum Center. TOMS brought out over 30 artists who were on hand to lend their artistic talent to customize TOMS shoes, while the Korchet Kids, in support of their ‘We are the Future of Change‘ campaign, had games like plinko, ring toss, goldfish, and more to raise awareness and collect change for the women and children in Uganda. The music line-up was awesome with bands Levanter, Los Coyotes, The Alla-Las, Kiven, and the Pawnshop Kings, plus DJ Mike Robles. Thanks to everyone who made it out to the event! And to those of you who didn’t – we hope to see you next year! Check out the video below for a look at this year’s GIVE Event.
