The WORKSHOP Event: March 16th @ Irvine Spectrum

We’re excited to announce the next WORKSHOP Event this Saturday, March 16th, at Active Irvine Spectrum! Join us as we celebrate awesome brands doing awesome things.

Check out photos of the last WORKSHOP Event at Active Costa Mesa here, and the recap video below.

The WORKSHOP is an ever-developping mobile art exhibit where your hands, your voice, and our actions come together to build the future we want.

We created the WORKSHOP to be a mouth piece for Active’s brands that give back to our world; brands like OBEYElement, GIRL Skateboards and more. Our hope is that through the WORKSHOP we would encourage more people to buy products that serve a purpose… to broadcast tangible change with their voice, and more importantly, their actions.

Moving Pictures- “…encompasses individual motion pictures, the field of film as an art form…  Films are produced by recording images from the world with cameras…” Check the collection of moving pictures, that have been place in an order to tell the story of Active Ride Shop’s “Give” Event at the Irvine Spectrum. “Give” featured a fundraiser for Toms Shoes and Krochet Kids Intl.  The event included insane artists customizing folks Toms shoes and bands entertaining. Notables were, artist and rising star Eric McHenry from North Cackalacka getting down and Dustin Kensrue of Thrice, putting on an amazing solo performance. Check the moving picture show good buddy Daniel Duarte threw together for our viewing pleasure!

Give it UP!

We had a good ol’ time under the large Ferris Wheel at the Irvine Spectrum. This was the site of the Give event featuring Toms shoes and Krochet kids gear getting customized by radical artists and listen to some sweet sounds. Active played host, but it was a team effort from all of the involved parties, especially the Marketing gals at the Spectrum, Stacie and Janet.

Big shouts go to all the artist, volutneers, Digital Sound Production Services, Eddie @ Wahoo’s for the grub and the bands, including Dustin Kensrue, fomally of Thrice,  who absolutely brought down the house. He played Springsteen!

Lastly, a massive thanks to all who came out to purchase Toms and Krochet Kids gear. You all help raise tons of money for future Toms shoegiving efforts in third world countries and put clothes on the needy in Africa through Krochet kids. Don’t miss the next one at the Riverside Active featuring amazing tattoo artist!!
