News is out. Girl posted on their Instagram a photo with long-time team riders Guy Mariano & Eric Koston saying “Thanks for the memories”… What does this mean?!
Celebrating 20 full years of Chocolate Skateboards at Art Share L.A.! Taking a trip down memory lane with all the series of decks from right when Chocolate started, photos, memorabilia, & what not. It was awesome celebrating it with most of the OG’s from the team and the people behind it all.
Tyler Pakstis won the Enter-To-Win Lakai x Active contest online. He won a day with Active & Lakai Pro, Guy Mariano. Took him out to breakfast, stopped by Active HQ, then to Active Rancho, Lakai Warehouse, Girl HQ, & topped off the day with some fancy EATalian food! Continue reading Day With Guy Mariano
We were at the Gundo the other night celebrating the release of Active & Girl Pro, Guy Mariano‘s exclusive deck! The Girl & Chocolate family were also there in support with a signing and hanging out with their fans and having staring contests. Luckily, we didn’t leave our wallets in El Segundo (A Tribe Called Quest reference). Here are some photos from that night!

Went out to Jumbo Rocks Campgrounds at Joshua Tree for a day with Lakai and some of the Active fam from each shop who were slangin’ the most Lakai shoes (and who’s schedule permits). The weather was not too hot, not too cold. In fact, it was the best place to be. Isolated from society and no cell phone service (a lot of #latergrams.) We were climbing up on some rough rocks but well worth the view in the end. The sights were unbelievable, sorta like being at California Adventure in Disneyland… but the real thing! It was a great getaway before the Holiday season. Thank you BK & Culver for letting me tag along and document this!!!
It was a pretty sweet Trunk Boyz demo here at the Active Park. After having minds blown by the “Pretty Sweet” film, many fans of Girl & Chocolate came out of their way to the headquarters in good ol’ middle-of-nowhere Mira Loma, California to see their favorite team riders shred in person. Needless to say, Raven Tershy, Elijah Berle, Cory Kennedy, Mike Mo, & Sean Malto demolished rather than demonstrated the park! While the OG’s: Rick Howard, Mike Carroll, & Chris Roberts watched on. The Active Ride Shop team riders, also known as the “Active Army” were also throwing down hammers with the Trunk Boyz. The #prettysweet hashtag made its way through the night as the fans had their photo ops with the team. After the demo, everyone had the chance to meet & greet the team through the autograph signing and even more photo ops. Thanks to Sam Smyth & Jason Callaway at Girl for coming through as well as getting some of the team to the park after a long trip around the world!
Also, check out some more photos HERE!
The TRUNK BOYZ went H.A.M. at the Active headquarters last night! The Girl & Chocolate team demolished the Active Park in honor of Pretty Sweet. At the end of the demolition demonstration, there was a #prettysweet signing. BIG thanks to Rick Howard, Mike Carroll, Raven Tershy, Cory Kennedy, Elijah Berle, Sean Malto, Chris Roberts, & Mike Mo for cruising through, signing autographs, shredding, & stoking out the fans!
