The STITCH: It’s about that time again – Snowboarding Season!

The leaves are changing, the weather is finally cooling down, and winter is approaching fast.  This all means one thing – SNOW!  This is my absolute favorite time of the year and I’m so stoked for this upcoming snow season.  Snowboarding is such an exhilarating and exciting sport.  There’s nothing better than the rush of adrenaline that pumps through my body as I zoom down the mountain.  The fresh air relaxes me and all of my worries and stress melt away at the sight of a snow-capped mountain.  Snowboarding gives me a chance to be at one with nature and to experience it to the fullest. To me, snowboarding is the epitome of freedom, and when I’m on the slopes I’m enjoying life!

This season, stop into select Active shops to stock up on all your snowboarding needs! We’ve always got the latest and greatest gear, and the best deals around!

See y’all on the mountain!

Active Snow locations: Active San Dimas, Active Brea, Active Rancho Cucamonga, Active Temecula, Active Orange.

Till then!

2011 Active Brodown Showdown Slideshow/Recap

The 2011 Active Brodown Showdown wrapped up this weekend in Mammoth Mountain. The course was in awesome shape with tons of options that gave our riders plenty to work with. Dylan Alito turned to event into his own party and walked away with first place by giving us amazing, different lines every run with tons of energy. Second went to Jared Dawoud and third to Brandon Davis. Erik Leon took best trick, which I can happily say, was a huge method to flat. Check out these pics from the event:

“A Snowboard Contest” at Mountain High

Finalist Matt Ybarra getting a different perspective on the world!

Oh what a day for a snowboard contest!  On Saturday Active hosted “A Snowboard Contest”, this was an attempt to bring the fun back into contests…and judging by the looks on the kids faces, it worked.  Mountain High did a great job putting together an amazing course with a couple rails, the Comune gap and a rather interesting booter!  The action was non stop with 3 divisions(Mens, Womens, And Grom) all chasing after a spot in the finals. Thanks to Signal Snowboards, Smith Optics, Comune, Flux Bindings, Vestal watches and of course Mountain High for their support of  “A Snowboard Contest”!  Check the photos from the event.
