Corona, CA (May 5, 2012) — Active Ride Shop, Southern California’s leading action sports retailer, celebrated the opening of the Corona Store in the Inland Empire on May 5th. Located at the beautiful Crossings at Corona shopping center off the 15 fwy, the store features all of your favorite action sports brands.

“This is the first retail store that we have opened in 4 years and we are all really excited to see how we can start getting involved with the community,” said Kristin Willhoit, Retail Marketing Manager at Active Ride Shop.

To celebrate the grand opening of the Corona location, Active handed out free limited edition hats to the first 100 customers as well as a free gift bag for those who spent over $100 and a free limited Vans x Active Tee. Active offered exclusive one-day deals and limited edition gear from Adidas and Baker.

It didn’t stop there! The Fallen & Zero team came for a signing at 12pm followed by the BakerDeathwish team at 4pm.

Active Ride Shop has proudly served the North American skate community since 1989. With 21 retail locations across Southern California, Active continues to be a platform for new and emerging brands and an epicenter for each community it resides in.

Catching up with Billy Marks

If you know Billy Marks, then you know he’s a gambling man. That’s actually how we became friends. We both play a lot of cards… and neither of us can resist the chance to win someone else’s hard earned money. Or lose our own… Anyways, I recently met up with Billy at a bowling alley by his house to see what he’s been up to. Maybe talk about getting on LRG, Street League, the Toy Machine demo and stuff like that…

I’m not sure how much it is to rent shoes and bowl a few games, maybe $20 bucks a person… but for some reason this little trip cost me almost $400 bucks!!

Next time, I’m making Active pay for it!

If you live in, or anywhere near Norco, be sure and join Billy and the whole damn Toy Machine team at Active for the 3rd Annual Toy Machine Halloween demo!! Sunday Oct. 31st at 2 pm.
