Active Army: 10 tricks w/ Hendricks

Once again Corey Hendricks gets down for the Active Army! This little park is down the street from Corey’s pad… He spent very little time to clock these good guys! Corey is reppin’ the Mission Valley Active with a goodness and style all his own and still finds time to work nights at Wall Mart. Pretty sure that will change real soon!

After you watch the video, scroll down and read about how you too can represent the Active Army.

Toy Drive Highlight Reel

Presented by Tum Yeto, Active, and City Lights Dream Center

We collected unwrapped toys at all of our store locations and brought them down to the boys and girls at the City Lights Dream Center in Santa Ana. Headed up by the Dream Centers own Chris Swaim and his nephew, none other than, Christian Hosoi! They brought the good news to all the fine folks in the neighborhood and the kids got stoked on Jesus and free gifts!
After the morning holiday celebrations, we packed out the City Lights Dream Center skate park with the locals and hosted best trick contest and gave out some goodies. Active Pro Mike V was on hand to sign some autographs and the Active Army crew was there to shred! Big thanks to all the Active Family who made this possible!

In Memoriam Video Teaser

Filmaker Brian Hunter is gearing up for an amazing film project dropping Spring 2010 in an Indie Theatre near you. Drawing on a large talent pool from Riverside and San Bernadiino Counties here in Southern California, Hunter wields his camera and his editing skills like a paint brush, developing into a beautiful arrangement of sight and sound. The video will feature some of the Active Army heads Jeff Figueroa, skating for Active Riverside, Shu Sakamoto and Raymond Reyes ripping for the Norco Active.

I’ve asked Brian to describe the project in his own words…

“i acknowledged when making the film that there is a collective effort of people from all types of cultures and backgrounds who are a part of in memoriam. there is a variety of skating which makes this film unique, each all skating a different way. the most important of how i conceptually came up with the title is because our memories of the past, either skating and everything in between is a memory which is captured on film.  There you go…b. hunter”
here are some links for the film:

Active Army, Derek Dunaway!

Check out Active Army youthful ripper Derek Dunaway skating out of Active Temecula. No music necessary, just powerful tricks! Enjoy and read below to find out how you can join the Active Army. Don’t think of us as a typical Army, although I have nothing but respect for our Armed Forces.
