Sean Cliver an artist, writer, editor, producer and photographer, has worked on several of the Jackass TV series and Movies, such as: Jackass TV Series, Wildboyz, Jackass movies and Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa.
Cliver has been in the skate industry since 1989, working on graphics for skateboard companies like Toy Machine, Girl, Plan B, Birdhouse and has also help re-shape the identities of World Industries, 101, Birdhouse and Hook-Ups. He first started out by entering a contest on Thrasher, that was put on by Powell Peralta in the need for graphic artists, he won the contest and started workin on graphics for Steve Caballero, Tony Hawk and the Bones Brigade. He’s also done freelance work for Nike and worked on a shoe project, the Nike SB 2012 Holiday Krampus collection and has also done show posters for Pearl Jam. He’s also done work for Supreme a skateboarding/clothing company in New York established in 1994 with limited graphics and collections. Cliver authored a book, “Disposable: A History of Skateboard Art”, a 228-page, full color book that showcases over 1000 skateboard graphics from the last 30 years. A follow up to “Disposable: a History of Skateboard Art” is “The Disposable Skateboard Bible” which assembles the most comprehensive visual overview of skateboards in print. Both books are a definitely a must own, if not, you at least have to check them out, as they have some pretty awesome stuff.
