Finally, the moment has arrived, Scuba Steve has chosen a winner! He came in to choose one winner among the hundreds upon hundreds of entries that were submitted. He narrowed the field to his top picks, and ultimately, chose his favorite video. Now one lucky winner will have his very own VX1000 courtesy of Scuba Steve.After hours of deliberation, Mexican food, Red Bull's, video watching and re-watching, Scuba decided upon four videos that were his top picks. Congrats, but I think its a bit unfair how the contest did require the best the best skate footy over last year. A lot of people had way more amazing footage, and looked way more professional then this. Ill admit my video was 5-6 minutes long maybe if you told people to be creative, unique, love for skating I would changed my ways but active said the best footage. #890 didn’t have too much great footage but congrats man im out

yea, this kid deserved more than anybody. of course people are going to hate because they arent cool enough to win and suck at editing. as for that matt guy, yea bro, the contest was totally about the skating. naaah im pretty sure it was about the editing and filming, not who can throw the most bangers down wilshire and hollywood. congrats deet. oh, one more thing, he was totally favored by scuba since we hang out with him everyday and drink coffee at the local starbucks. hahah baaaazzzing.

Angry Skateboarder this kid has no talent that won, the commentary was soo terrible, didn’t like 4 transworlds have that same commentary? Also this contest was suppose to be for best skateboarding footage so next time Active posts a contest go by the rules. Because a lot of people deserved to win this kids entry just wasnt that great, his artsy shots werent even on a tripod, editing wasn’t good and to be honest its not even hard to film this kid couldt even manage that part. I dont care though i entered tried to wn cause my cams were stolen but aint no big deal

Regardless of how you interpreted the rules of this contest it clearly states that Scuba Steve was going to pick his favorite video period!!!! 890 happened to be it. Also, this was not a pity contest to give some undeserving kid a nice camera just because he has an old VHS camcorder. Now this kid’s footage did not suck by any means. And who says a good shot artsy shot has to be on a tripod. That’s just stupid this is skateboarding women’s tennis. And if you didn’t like this at all your lying to yourself. Whether or not I’ve heard the commentary 27 times in different videos it doesn’t get old. That is a dead horse I don’t mind being beaten. Where is your video anyway I was hoping for a good laugh?

he filmed maybe 1/4th of that footage. basically all of the footage in that montage was filmed by matt williams from san antonio and BIG O from houston. i dont even understand how he got all that footage. i think this should seriously be checked out because thats just a little unfair using footage basically filmed by everyone but him.

I think the requirements were “SUBMIT YOUR BEST SKATE FOOTAGE” if it was saying Submit skateboard footage then yea I don’t think people would care. But dude every entry im sure most people used all of there own footage and I personally don’t think this was fair. Considering the fact he used your footage and the entry wasnt even that good i mean that first wannabe artsy shot on the trey flip? like was he serious? I think a lotta people should complain about this because it is a bit wack all of us/filmers contributed to this, used good footage, and got screwed. And for me posting my footage im sure you seen some of my footage around. other then this contest. I am not gonna favor but Matt Dao was a great entry. i thought the contest was to submit YOUR footage… i seen a couple clips that a friend of mine filmed… and i honestly think its gay that you won because judging by the footage, i seen at least 3 different types of cameras being used. i didnt even enter and i think they made a bad choice picking you.
