Last Chance to Win Scuba Steve’s Camera
That's right, after nearly 3 months and somewhere around 800 entries, today is the final day to enter into the “Win Scuba Steve's Camera Contest.” There have been some awesome entries so far, and in the last few days we've recieved a ton more. We have our work cut out for us in the next few days to narrow the pack down for Scuba to sift through. If you haven't enterd yet, get out there and film something in a hurry, if you have, sit back relax and watch some of the other entries. i only watched the first like 5 or 6 pages or soemthin but i like jay meyers video. the filming is good, absolutely loved the intro. and he didnt leave anything to read for a guilt trip or anything. some of the others filmed pros and stuch at demos. i liked the variety

i liked patches black and white intro then it went to color it was cool the fillming=sick he should take that vx1k off your hands
I think that the camera should go to best filmed…and not to someone who had pros or ams in their edit….i think the best use of the camera would go to someone who looks like they have the skill to be an upcoming filmer but one that is filming unknowns not skaters that have already made it.

loops video was really good tricks were incredible, filming was very amazing. He put that vx1 to work at night which is a lotta skill involved how clear everything was. for sure tight and on page 44 there was one cool vid too many to watch
Patches ur video sucked, park footy and skating wasnt even good. The contest is for best skate footage. Loops, and Matt Dao in my opinion. Both of those dudes show talent with filming matt dao is a little shakey but yea I think matt dao and loops will be final picks. switch back 360 a 14? yea man deffinatly amazing

top 3 Dao, Loops, and Asa is pretty good but ima be honest dude the filming wasnt that good considering u were filming some good ass skaters but i seriously dont think nothin compares to switch back 360 redondo. also adam dyet sw back heeled 7 flat 2

Just wanted to let everyone know this contest is not about the calibar of skating in the video. It is purely for the filmer’s and how they capture skateboarding!
in that case loops and matt dao i think best filming from every entry. i never seen anyone capture filming vx1000 at night that amazing looking im sorry loops gots talent dao gots really good shots but his lines can be a little shakey.

seeing amazing **** happn down a set of steps or a rail is kool but why everyone hating? its the editing and filming that counts.. or am i wrong??
I think the judging will lean a little more on the filming side but yeah…tricks dont matter in this comp.

The skating may not be the best on that parker kids on page 42 but there is sick editing and filming i think he should win fo sho . You can tell everyone else captured theres with a vx1000. It doesnt look like they need it.

Mike B. Some kids that had footage in this contest filmed with a vx1000 had there cameras stolen, broken. My vx1000, the heads went. That is the only reason I entered this contest last minute. I mean its a free vx1000 everyone is gonna take a shot at it. I just wish I had more time to work on this.

The contest was meant to be a contest. Who cares who have vx1k’s and who doesnt. And who cares about people camera situations. Even the best filmers out there get their cameras stolen and broken. This contest started to turn in to a pitty party in my opinion. Just post your link and let that be that. There are kids out there that can prob film 1ccd stuff better than alot of 3ccd filmers and vise versa…so enough **** talking…and crying…let the footage speak for itself.

what Bret Kalmbach (post 42) says is right, every1 needs a VX,some of these people who are saying every1 else has filmed on a vx are wrong and cant even tell bcos there are alot of 1 chip cllips and people using other 3 chips. Some poeple know how to film with their ****** camera

when will we find out about the results?
It’s funny how much the sony vx cameras get hyped up by skate “filmers” when they’re not that great of cameras, I guess it’s word of mouth cuz if people actually looked into the specs of a vx versus the specs of say, a dvx100 (panasonic, pro-sumer) they’d see that the vx is a consumer camera that looks professional. You can get dvx100s for the same price range on ebay. And having more than one vx model is pretty dumb. It’d be wiser to get a 24p camera, not a ****** 29.97fps ntsc camera.
