eric is an *******. when i met him he gave me a limp-ass hand shake and didnt even bother to look me in the eyes. i felt so dissed i threw away his autograph and flipped him off as he drove away. he rips but hes a ****

He should have Stayed On Lakai…Nike is more of Fashion thing I think he wont get as much notice as when was on Lakai.
I think he was great on lakai he was on it for many years and held the team together but now he is on nike. Nike will pay him more but then he will become a big sellout like p-rod has became.

i think its funny when guess say he should of stuck with lakai cause if it wasn’t him that went then lakai would of went they are basically bankrupt after fully flared and they needed to make some serious pay cuts so why kick off 3 guys that will most likely have a hard time getting another shoe sponsor when you could kick off one guy that gets payed the equivalent of 3 riders that will have shoe sponsor all over him like tweens on the jonas brothers nuts

“some dude”….Active does not have Arab investors. I work for Active and the dudes that saved us from Zumiez are from Florida and originally from South Africa. 2 of the investors are South African and one is a totally cool white dude that has kids that love skateboarding. Check it, every growing company needs money to stay in business and grow. Getting bank loans from wack ass banks sucks. the new Active investors are amazing. Way better than being owned by Foot Locker like CCS. Dont hate on skin color….look at the heart bro. Stop Hate Go Skate!!!

j mike, no video hype. Ko$ton had all intentions to end his career with Lakai. they just ran out of big bucks to keep Ko$ton happy. Lakai - DVS - Matix are amazing people, as well as everyone at Girl. Companies like Lakai - Girl - Active were building skateboarding long before Nike wanted to cash in on skateboarding. Check it, Nike lost a ton of skate shoes sales to skateboarding. All Nike wants it your money. Nike takes your money, gives some to the team, and pockets the rest. Those fools are OGB’s. Nike = Jocks after big bucks. Trust me, the guys that run Nike have noting to do with skateboarding. They have done noting for skateboarding except use skateboarding to keep their high paying jobs!!!

What is Josh talking about! he wasn’t on lakai for years and he didnt keep the team together. he left es to ride the hype of fully flared and then left lakai as soon as it was over. He was in the final flare talking like he would never leave lakai and months later he sells out. I’ve also herd that koston is a **** from people that have met him at demos and to be honest he never really seemed that cool to me. I respect nike but not nike sb. Nike, like adidas, converse, gatorade, ect., is just trying to profit from skateboarding now that it is big. Comanies like lakai and girl are run by skaters and they are true to skateboarding. I dont think koston has ever been true to skateboarding and now that he’s not winning xgames he has to do something to stay in the news. I think koston made a terrible choice in leaving his friends at lakai, its not at all like p-rod joining nike, koston just doesnt belong there. i just wonder if nike will steal the k1 design like lakai did.

i still like koston, but moving over to nike shows that he doesnt care much for the “little guy” in the skate scene. not that i’m saying that Lakai was by any means a small company, but at least they were a true skate company. the minute skating isn’t cool anymore, nike is out, and then all their riders will be left hanging. nike has some cool styles, though. i do like the shoes, however, i will never buy a pair because i think that the company itself is really fucked up. remember that shoe company from the early 2000’s, Savier? guess why they went under: nike bought them out and once the nike exec’s were confronted by real skate companies, they folded Savier and bounced. this is why i am a fan of Consolidated’s “Don’t Do It” campaign. Birdo wants to keep skateboarding in the hands of skaters. when was the last time any of the nike exec’s even stepped on a skateboard? probably never.
i tell you, let nike make money off of skating, because the second that skating isn’t cool anymore, nike is out. can’t wait. DON’T DO IT

koston suited lakai but know that he is on nike sb it will be the same eventually it will die down and he will look good on nike sb i dont why everyone cares it’s his choice no one owns him.
Koston is a douche, he’s old news, this is about the best he’s got, give it time and he’ll be worse than many others look at how far he is now, i understand that he’s always like koston but he just rides hype. he needs to understand that sometimes you commit to something because it’s the right thing to do not because it’s the most profitable or best for you at the moment. idk man i cant really say if it was a good move or a bad move. right now since we in a crappy economy skaters are taking every opportunity they get to make more cash. even by means of leaving there sponsor to go to a new one. i still like koston but in way he was kind of the heart and soul of lakai but since he left already i guess its time for mike mo to step up his game and become the prime of lakai which he is very close to being. anyway congrats to koston and nike sb for making a huge deal on a veteren. besides were all gonna forget kostons on nike sb in 1 year lol

I read that interview when it 1st appeared & had big respect for K for staying true to skateboarding & his beliefs, but it seems that money can cloud a man’s thoughts too easily.
Nike will drop their skaters & their skate shoes as soon as skating isnt popular or fashionable or making them any money. I guarantee it. I saw them do it the last time around that they, along with Converse, tried to jump on the moneywagon. They’ll do it again.
Did some people forget that 3 of the main shoes that skateboarders originally wore are Adidas classics, Chucks and Nike dunks… that is simply put a huge base for skateboarding and skateboarders everyone… Nike, Adidas, and Converse helped build skateboarding and mold it into what it is today.
