FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | GIVE: a creative collaboration
Costa Mesa, CA— TOMS Shoes, Element, and Active will come together on Sunday August 3rd, 2008 at The Camp in Costa Mesa.

GIVE: a creative collaboration, will bring together some of Element’s top artists and Advocates including Brooke Reidt, Don Pendleton, Beck Hickey, and Todd Francis–just to name a few–to customize TOMS Shoes for customers. Or, purchase a pair of TOMS and customize them yourself! All the supplies necessary will be provided.

The event will run from 3pm until 9pm and throughout the day, Ray Barbee will perform his music stylings, along with The Growlers, Will Crum and DJs Mataji Booker and Alfred Hawkins. A special VIP afterparty will directly follow the event.

Each Element artist will also be creating art pieces to be auctioned live at the event. A portion of auction proceeds will benefit Friends of TOMS, a non-profit organization dedicated to bettering the life of those in the communities served by TOMS Shoes. Since 2006 TOMS has given away over 68,000 pairs of shoes to children in need around the world and plans to give an estimated 200,000 pairs of shoes over the next year. For every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of shoes to a child in need. One for One.

Special thanks to The Camp, Red Bull, Nalu’s, and Sambazon.

The Camp is located at The Camp, 2937 Bristol St. Costa Mesa, CA 92626. For more info, go to: <> , <> , and <>

skating has always been involved with art. just look at any mag from decades ago, they always have a featured artist or have promoted art in some way. this is nothing new.
