It’s official, this just came across the wire:

10 June 2009

For Immediate Release:

Nike Skateboarding welcomes Eric Koston to the team!

2009 is shaping up to be the busiest summer ever for Nike SB, but simply put, any time is a good time to add Eric Koston to your team.

Eric had this to say:
“Not only am I psyched to be a part of the great group of guys that makes up the Nike SB team, but I’m equally as excited to work with them creatively. I’m sure many people know that a lot of different Nike’s have been the inspiration for my shoe designs over the last 12 years, so I feel like a fucking kid in a candy store when it comes to this partnership between Nike and I.”

More news to follow as it happens, talk amongst yourselves….

predictable.
not a huge fan of Nike not that i dislike the team in any way but everyone is wearing them right now and everyone’s only wearing them because skating’s “in” right now. ugh i hate that.
Koston’s so sick though so maybe i can give their skating a chance :p

Hey its just shoes for everyone freaking out, besides skaters in the 80s were the ones that brought nike into skateboaring, and also i think etnies is racking up some major guys too..

It’s kinda sad that Nike Sb is taking over the skate shoe industry… buying all the big hitters and just selling out to everybody. I mean, everybody has a pair of Nike SBs.. It’s killing whats used to be just skateboarding.

As if nike needed koston jesus theyre so big now in skateboarding– anything to make the ceo of that mega company money

dude nike sb is already unstoppable lol

i cant skate anywhere without seeing someone with some blazers

i love koston though

nike sb is a great company that makes amazing skate shoes, and that they have eric nike sb WILL BE UNSTOPABLE. LOL. btw i just got the new stefan janoski nike sb’s and they are sick. great boardfeel and a sick low top design. BUY NIKE SB!

At least he finished his Fully Flared part. That would have sucked if he quit before it was released and all the footage would have just sat for 5 years.
