Design Erik Ellington’s Shoe Contest Update
It started months ago, and after many entries, and then many more, the Design Erik Ellington's Supra Double E Contest is finally almost over. You officially have two more days until the 11:59 PM deadline of Saturday March 31st to get your entries in. Just in case you forgot how to enter, you can check the official entry page out here.
I have no idea how many entries have been sent in, but it has to be somewhere in the thousands.
We got designs with, stripes, swirls, spins, stars, spots, splats, states, snakes, sheet music, plaids, patterns, palm trees, polar bears, people, album covers, landscapes, checkers, and of course camo.
Thanks to everyone that entered the contest, we love seeing this stuff. For one of you lucky dudes out there your dream may come true, and you could be rocking a pair of Ellington shoes you designed very soon. Stay tuned for updates.

No, Erik Ellington hasn’t even seen these yet. I picked the Purple one to be at the top because it’s purple, and it reminds me of the Krew / Supra vibe. That’s it.
In my opinion that music one or that camo one were the best. simplest, easiest to produce, best looking. that one with all the supra crowns on it is sick too. same with that lunberjack plaid one.

I like the dark purple croc skin version of the Double E. (it’s four down from the top-left corner)

Some of these a f’n ugly and some are dumb as hell.

I’m pretty stoked to see my entry up there even though they were randomly picked. Mine is number 40 with the all over active logo print.

Some of these designs look sweet on the computer, but it’d be hella hard get,n em on a shoe in suede or leather.
haha mine is 36…..some of them are pretty darn cool. Mine wont win cause its not very original but its a clean design. :/ can’t wait to see the winner.
Al’s is pretty bad ass. I also like the crowns (14) and the different colored squares (26).

Why is it so hard for people to read?
Because 14-year-olds lack common sense.
most of those suck( i know they were chosen at random but what were people thinking when they made these?)….ellington wouldnt wear most of them anyway…..# 38 is pretty sweet(its mine) so are #s 23 35 43 53 58

A good shoe should consist of a good color scheme, while remaining simple and clean. The double E is already a ill shoe design, so there is no need to get into tricky image layouts.
(might aswell buy some Geranimals)!

You have to wonder, how much does it cost to put certain images on the shoe. It takes much more than Adobe programs.
The colored ones look like crap, I think that any one could do that. I like the one with graphics and people it looks good on the shoe.

not just anyone can come up with a TIMELESS color scheme, one that really fits a paticular shoe design.
if that was the case every one with adobe skills would be making designing shoes for a living ; )

I agree … i think the double e is a fantastiic shoe…but his was a designing contest….good entries should consist of color combs…I mean almost anyone could hav thought of photo shopping a hollywood sign on there it takes good taste to come up with good color schemes…like the colors Erik
