To celebrate the launch of the Nixon x Bones Brigade watches, Nixon & Active Ride Shop hosted a Meet & Greet with the Bones Brigade at the Irvine Spectrum along with a photo gallery curated by Grant Brittain with a zine for the occasion. It’s not often you get the whole team all in one place. Definitely a blast from the past hanging out with the Bones Brigade team with the old & young fans! Check out more photos below from the day.
We’re stoked to be having Illegal Civilization here at Active!
Fun Fact: Mikey & the crew first had their premier at our Burbank location back in January 2012 with most of the Burbank Army team riders at the time. Illegal Civ is now online and at our Burbank, Santa Monica, Riverside, & Irvine Spectrum locations. Check out some photos we took from the night they came through at Active Burbank for the launch!
Good times and good vibes are exactly what you would expect from a Bro Style photo show and they provided plenty of that, along with free beer from Lagunitas. The gallery walls were filled with photos from team riders and their bros and as the clock struck 6 o’clock the gallery was flooded with people eager to take in the music. Girl Tears got the crowd going and even though Leo Romero was slightly handicap’d he and the rest of Travesura put on a great performance as always. Frontman Josh Harmony alongside Grant Hatfield ended the night with a bang letting you know how awesome their band Freckles really is.
It was LAABF weekend so lots of art shows were going on at night. Tino Razo had a book launch & photo show one of the nights, a gallery filled tons of epic photos of backyard pools & skateboarding. Here are a couple photos I took on my film camera from that night. Make sure to get yourself a copy of his book!
Thanks to everyone who came out to the Grand Opening day of Active Menifee! Following the grand opening was the ever spectacular annual Toy Machine Halloween Demo that was insane as well! Peep the recaps below.
Active is stoked to be opening their thirtieth location: Menifee! Join us for the festivities on Oct. 29!
We headed out to Beach Goth thanks to the homies at The Observatory for the plug! Check out some photos I took those two days. We went late the first night and the next day rained, but we still had a blast.
Beer Savage held an Oktoberfest kickoff party at The Wayfarer in Costa Mesa.
To celebrate the release of the Active x Hotshot Handle collaboration, we opened our private skatepark HQ to the public for a skate session and BBQ. Brotherly duo and Hotshot Co-Founders Gantry & Garrett Hill arrived with some of their posse including Moose, Chris Sandoval, and Raymond Soliz. The guys wasted no time and skated/filmed for 6 straight hours, stacking footage with the Camo Hotshot Handle. And with Joey Coleman manning the BBQ with burgers and hot dogs, how can you go wrong? Enjoy!
By now, you’ve seen all the other recaps from that night… here’s mine! Let the photos speak for itself, no need for SEO optimization here. Key words: EMERICA, Andrew Reynolds, Justin “Figgy” Figueroa, Bryan Herman, Jerry Hsu, Collin Provost, Kevin “Spanky” Long all had full parts with additional clips from fellow team riders Jeremy Leabres, Leo Romero, & Brandon Westgate. Where was Ed Templeton? He was in London… Oh, don’t forget Jon Dickson is now on Emerica!
Recap photos from the night we went out to the sold out Maxo Kream show with special guest, Fredo Santana. We had one of the fanciest steak dinners I’ve ever had thanks to our friends at DC right before. What a night. Thanks to Masked Gorilla & DC!
