2nd AnnualToy Machine Halloween Demo

Toy Machine does it once again! The second annual Toy Machine Halloween Demo was held at Active Long Beach. To start off the day right, Active Army was in full effect on the street course, as well as some Foundation homies. The crowd started to grow, making a human barricade around the whole course. The Toy Machine crew arrives in style along with two new Ams, Jordan Taylor and announcing Collin Provost. The Toy Machine team was out with their fancy costumes. To name a few the Tempster was a little girl in PJ’s, Austin Stephens was an Owl, Billy Marks was Freddy Kruger, Johnny Layton as the Flying Monkey from Wizard of Oz and Josh Harmony (skating in the heat) in his penguin costume through-out the whole demo (funny that a penguin is supposed to be in the cold and not 90 degree weather) and last but not least, an extra special surprise appearance, coming all the way down to LBC, Thrashers very own Jake Phelps!

As the demo takes place, the boys throw down some gnarly tricks. Showing up late but better late than never, Leo Romero (he was sick so it’s all good, get well Leo!). Ripping up the course as always, doing it up big, pleasing the crowd, making them roar, puts the pedal to the metal and rides a way with a gap to nosegrind off the steep bank to shut the demo down.

As the demo came to an end the long awaited costume contest went down. With the Tempster himself on the judging, it was not easy, from Mario and Luigi to the Teletubbies (besides Po), a Ghostbuster, even an iPhone and a homemade Toy Machine Transistor head. It all came down to one winner; the homemade Transistor head, walking away with a box of goodies from Toy Machine.

Everyone in attendance to the event was in for a treat as the Toy crew cruises into the store for a signing, along with posters and Tech Decks. The line was wrapped around the store and out the doors.

Hope you all had a great Halloween and thanks for everyone that came out and especially those in costumes making the demo a spectacular one at that. See you all next year!

Also, special thanks to Mike Sinclair and Toy Machine for making this Halloween another to remember. As well as Fuel TV and Rene-Rene for coming out and making the coverage!
